We undertook the design of a 20 foot open aluminium workboat for Unst Inshore Marine services. The main characteristics of this design are its capacity to carry up 1 tonne of cargo plus 3 crew. The vessel is designed to meet the requirements of the MCA Code of Practise for Workboats and is powered by a 75 hp outboard motor. In addition the boat is self-draining and can therefore be kept on a mooring. 15 and 25 foot variants of this design were also produced. A key feature of this boat are the floodable keel tubes which provide stability at rest and drain automatically to give good performance at high speed. Quadboat Specification Sheet - Click Here
