In association with Peter Nicholls Steel Boats we designed several boats for their FCN barge range. The FCN 56 and 65 are widebeam seagoing barges in the “Dutch Barge” style. These have hull structures designed to Lloyds Register Special Service Class rules to meet the requirements for EU RCD Category B or C. Once we had designed the hull and generated a 3D model we were able to carry out plate expansion to enable a kit of parts to be produced.
